~~ Read my Bible every day. I need to get into God's word more often. I have come to realize that I need to carve out time out of my day (preferably in the morning when I am most alert) for Bible reading and prayer. If I wait until my day ends, I am usually tired, and am not spending quality time with the Lord. This is my most important Goal for this year!
~~ Send out birthday cards. I have done well so far this year. We've had 4 birthday's so far this year. I did get my brother-in-law's card to him late, but I did get on Facebook and wish him a happy birthday on his birthday. This is such a simple way to let other's know you care, and I want to continue it!
~~ Make our own bread. I am trying different recipe's for this one. I have no problem making our own bread, but the problem is that a lot of the recipe's make a crumbly loaf of bread. Hubby doesn't like that and neither do the kids. I'll keep trying!
~~ Play! I am playing more games with the kiddo's, and trying to ignore the "things" that need to be done. I must admit, though, it is easier said than done. The laundry and dishes are yelling for attention!!!
~~ Eat healthier and live healthier. This one is SO important to me, and I have been researching ways to improve upon our eating habits. I have made a few small changes, and continue to look for ways to cook/bake and eat healthier.
~~ Loose 20 pounds. Uhmm, well, lets just move onto the next one...
~~ Stick to our budget. Well....since our van died the end of December and we needed to get another one last month...this goal has not been a reality yet this year. I am really working hard on this one for February (although Stinkerbelle told me yesterday about driver's ed class starting and needing to pay for that! UGH!)
~~ Family worship time. We are continuing with our book by the Mally's about Sibling relationships.
~~ Make as many Christmas presents as I can. I have already started working on this and have a couple of things made already! Yay!
~~ Organize my binder. Yeah, well, I have looked at it a few times, and have the menu plans and grocery lists in it. It still needs a lot of work!
~~ Pray for other's more. There are so many people around us that need our prayers, so this is a good one to improve upon. We have our prayer board in the kitchen, and even our littlest kiddo's are praying for others (that is such a heartwarming thing to see!). It is so important to be lifting other's up in prayer.
I still have a long way to go, but this reminder will serve me well. I'll continue to update in the coming months!
Have a great day!
Blessings,
"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God"
1 Corinthians 10:31
